However, without insecticides, the cure for bed bugs will not work, because an insecticide is the very poison that poison the parasites. Many quite effective remedies for bedbugs, which allow really quickly and often - at a time - to take them out of the apartment, are truly smelly. Among them are Tetrix, Karbofos, Cucaracha, Klopoveron, Clopomor.
Even the well-known Dichlorvos, which is used today very rarely, is smelly, and is still as effective in the fight against bedbugs as before.However, new versions of Dichlorvos appear on the market with a much lower odor level, but their effectiveness has not yet passed the test of time.
Indeed, many modern, odorless insecticides, which are sometimes used from bedbugs, are not tested for effectiveness. Let's look at this issue in more detail.
Odorless products
Generally speaking, there are quite a lot of funds that theoretically can destroy bedbugs, and which at the same time almost have no smell.
Among them:
- Toxic insecticidal gels used in the fight against cockroaches and ants. They attract insects, contain toxic substances and natural bitterness. The latter are needed so that any other inhabitant of the room, from a cat to a person, could not even swallow a drop of such a gel. Against bedbugs, they are absolutely useless in the first place because bugs are simply not able to eat even a small part of a drop of such a gel: the bugs mouth apparatus is intended only for puncturing the skin and sucking blood. In addition, the parasite "will not even enter the head" trying to eat drops with gel - bedbugs are attracted only by the smell of the human body. Therefore, such odorless insect repellents will not be effective against domestic bugs.
- Dusts like “Domovoy”, “Clean House”, “Feverfrom”. They either have no smell at all, or they smell very faintly and unobtrusively. They are moderately effective against bedbugs, but they can give a certain result when used: the majority of dusts, if accidentally hit the body of a bug, can have a contact effect, penetrating through the chitinous cover and poisoning the insect, even without entering its digestive tract. However, by themselves they do not attract bedbugs, and therefore to get rid of all the parasites in the room with their help can be difficult - there will always be a certain number of parasites in the apartment that did not fall into the scattered dust.
- Crayon "Masha" and its Chinese counterparts. This remedy for odorless bedbugs works just like dusts, but due to its ability to be applied on vertical surfaces it can be used on walls, backs of beds and sofas. Effective remedy for odorless bugs
Somewhere at the junction of aerosol preparations and dusts, there is a remedy Geth, a microencapsulated preparation that is in fact an aqueous concentrate of finely dispersed chlorpyrifos. Wet cleaning should be carried out upon return. For the most reliable result, such treatment should be repeated after 8-10 days in case the larvae hatch from the surviving eggs after the first treatment.
Aerosols Raptor from crawling insects have a pleasant smell of mint and contain Cypermethrin, one of the most popular insecticides today, as an active substance. They are used for bedbugs in the same way as drugs of the Combat line.
